Training

I just started training for my training yesterday. Which means... I want to be able to run three miles without feeling like I may die before I have to start training for a half marathon. My brother, B, and I stepped it up a bit with the treadmill training on Friday night. The plan was to go to 12 on a 12 incline on their new treadmill. We made it to a 6 for a bit before he gave up (wimp). Luckily I have it all on video :) Enjoy

This was actually the second take. The first one was better and more exciting, but due to operator error the video was not executed. That's OK though because we had round two and we did an amazing job if I do say so myself.

Yesterday I went running in the great outdoors. What is wrong with the great state of Texas? I will tell you... 85 degrees in March. I just don't get it. Don't get me wrong... I'm sure the people in Chicago who had snow earlier this month are scoffing at the thought, but do you realize it is going to be 120 degrees this summer? I think it is a little much. Am I wrong? Anyway, as I sweated around the block I started to feel really uncomfortable in my three sports bras (that's right. I said three. I don't like taking chances) Either way, I went to the store after my run and when I got home and removed that evil, constricting, torture device. It was pure bliss. I have never felt so good in my whole life... Free as a bird and all that jazz. This morning I woke up and almost burned that God forsaken contraption. The only reason I didn't was because I couldn't get out of bed. Apparently I pulled a muscle in my back. I can't turn my neck to the left so if I try then my whole body turns. Bollocks. Also, it hurts like someone hit me with a baseball bat or something. Seriously, I don't understand how this happened. I went to the store and bought some heating thingys that stick to your body. I put one on and came home to finish my laundry. I was sweating profusely. (gross.) Anyone who knows me knows I don't get hot regularly. I am pretty much cold...all the time. (ice water runs through these veins or I have bad circulation or something) Well, I had to take it off and plan to put it back on in about 4 minutes when I go to bed. Wish me luck
